What an incredible time for you! It's possible you're feeling a multitude of emotions and have a million questions no matter where you are on your parenting journey. I hope I can answer some of your questions here.
As a birth doula covering Toronto and the surrounding areas, I am here to help - in person or virtually. To provide up to date information, reassurance, and emotional and physical support during your pregnancy and labour. To help you find the answers you're looking for and to be on your side, no matter your decisions.
I want you to feel confident and excited about giving birth. We all know that birth doesn't always go to plan, but my goal is to ensure you have a positive experience which ever way your labour goes.
About Me
Who I Am
I am a birth doula and mother of two wonderful little humans. I have had an interest in pregnancy and birth since a young age and knew this was the path I wanted to follow after the birth of my son in 2018. I trained and began my journey as a birth doula in the UK in 2019 and retrained with DONA in 2020 just prior to our return to Canada. I have supported parents in Canada and in the UK at home and in hospital settings, both in-person and virtually.
I have a very personal understanding of the experience of having children in a country and health system that is unfamiliar, and far away from the support of family. Whether your family is near or far, I believe each parent has their own unique story which guides their decisions and I provide unbiased support to help you navigate your journey.
There is so much information out there about pregnancy and birth – some helpful and some not-so-much. Every birthing person will have a vision of how they would like to birth their child - each birthing person is unique, as is each birth. I am passionate about helping each parent navigate through the plethora of information available to find what is evidence-based and relevant to their own experience. My goal is to ensure each parent feels excited, supported, and confident in their choices on their journey into parenthood.
